Coco Lee and her husband had been together for many years before the news broke that the singer had taken her life. However, the billionaire now faces accusations that his alleged affairs caused a rift in their union, leading to his late wife's passing.

Recently, fans worldwide have mourned the loss of Chinese actress, musician, and singer Coco Lee. Her sisters turned to social media to announce that the "Mulan" star had fallen into a coma after trying to take her own life and later passed away.

However, angry fans took to Twitter and accused Coco Lee's spouse, Bruce Rochowitz, of cheating on his late wife and that the actress attempted suicide due to an unhappy marriage and alleged divorce.

Coco Lee and Her Husband Had Been Together for Nearly Ten Years before Tying the Knot

Lee and her husband said "I do" in 2011 in front of 300 guests. Before officially becoming Mr. and Mrs., Lee and Rockowitz dated for eight years and, according to reports, spent twelve million dollars on their lavish wedding.

The American billionaire and his late wife paid for their guests' flights and accommodation and forked more money for Bruno Mars, Alicia Keys, The Black Eyed Peas, and Ne-Yo to grace the stage.

Who Is Coco Lee's Husband?

Rockowitz was born in Massachusetts and relocated to Hong Kong, where he became the Group President and CEO of Li & Fung, a supply chain company, from 2000 to 2014. More recently, the billionaire has served as Rock Media International's chairman.

A year after getting married, Rockowitz made headlines for reportedly buying a luxury apartment in London, selling it for over a million dollars, and wiring the money through an offshore account into an associate's bank account. However, Rockowitz did not respond to an invitation to comment.

Coco Lee Suffered from Multiple Mental and Physical Conditions before Her Death

In early July, Lee's older sister's turned to Instagram to share that after trying to take her own life on July 2, 2023, Lee was rushed to the hospital, where she slipped into a coma. However, on July 5, she sadly passed away. The caption read in part:

"As a family of CoCo, we are very grateful and honored to have such an excellent and outstanding sister. We are thankful to God for giving us such a kind angel."

Lee was born with a defect in her left leg that caused her great pain. The singer also suffered from mental problems, which she reportedly sought professional help for. In her final Instagram post, Lee described the last year of her life had been difficult.

Social Media Users Believe Coco Lee's Husband's Infidelity Contributed to Her Death

Following Lee's passing, fans tweeted that they were not convinced the singer had died due to mental health challenges. "TIME has brought attention to the politics of HK claiming mental health issues by using the passing of CoCo Lee, who her fans believed died of a heartache after being repeatedly cheated by her Canadian husband, in the midst of a bad divorce," one user wrote.

Another person shared, "Look at how Western media lies and capitalizes on celebrity deaths as a political tool. CoCo Lee killed herself due to stress from a bad divorce from her sexpat Canadian husband who kept cheating on her, but TIME wants you to blame the politics of HK instead."

In January 2015, she celebrated one of her stepdaughter's birthdays before sharing a photo of herself with her stepdaughters and Rockowitz on October 1, 2015, and another picture of the foursome on October 3, 2015.

In April 2016, Coco Lee posted another snap of her and one of her stepdaughters, and the duo appeared to be very comfortable with each other as they wore beaming smiles and stood in each other's embrace.
